Health can mean many things. For me, I do the best that I can “most of the time”.
I love to cook so using great ingredients is important to me. I wish we could grow fresh fruit and vegetables in Nebraska 12 months a year, but that will never happen. Our summer never lasts long enough for me. I do go off the deep end with some of my recipes, but it’s called moderation right?
I have made exercise a priority. I get some form of exercise nearly everyday. My rule is to never go two days in a row without some form of exercise. Pick something you enjoy and it doesn’t feel like exercise. If I can be outside, it doesn’t feel like I am doing something because I have to.
I find that if I can log my activity somewhere, it gives me motivation to keep going. Start a diary or get out your favorite colored marker and scribble on a calendar. Keep it where you can see it. It will remind you of the rock star that you truly are!
