Years ago when we remodeled our kitchen, we put in a turnstile in a corner cabinet. My bottle of oil is one of the many items I keep in there, and even though I thought the bottle was clean when I put it away, I was always getting oil rings under the bottles of oil, which created a mess.
Next time you get a large sock, that has lost its mate, such as an athletic sock, save it for your bottle of oil. Stuff your bottle into the sock and fold the top down until it doesn’t interfere with your pouring. No more oil rings. When your oil bottle is empty, peel off the sock and throw it into the wash. I have had the same sock for several years.
