In reply to Diana. No, it's not! Did you overfill the pan? Sometimes that will cause the center not to cook. Other reasons could be that the oven door was opened to early during baking allowing cold air to rush in? Under mixing, under baking, oven temperature or even using too much baking soda or baking powder. There's so many reasons for less than perfect results. Let me know if I can answer any questions you may have.

My family loved this cake. It was easy to make and I served it with whipped cream. Very good.
