Preheat the oven to 375°F and place a broiler pan on a baking sheet. Spray the broiler pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Drizzle a skillet with olive oil or vegetable oil. Over medium-high heat cook the diced onions until tender and browned. Add minced garlic and remove from the heat.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork and mix until combined. Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of bbq sauce, parmesan cheese, oregano, cooked onion mixture, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. Mix by hand until combined.
Fold in the cheddar cheese.
Shape into two loaves and place on a broiler pan.
Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the meatloaves from the oven and glaze with remaining 1/4 cup of bbq sauce. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 165°F.
