DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookie

These easy to make DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookies for an afternoon snack, an easy dessert after any meal, or the perfect something to take along on a trip. These delicious treats have been greeting hotel guests for thirty years and now you can bake them at home.

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup butter – 3/4 cup sugar – 3/4 cup brown sugar – 2 eggs (large) – 2 tsp vanilla extract – 1/4 tsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed) – 2¼ cup all-purpose flour (spoon & level method) – 1/2 cup rolled oats – 1 tsp baking soda – 1 tsp salt – 1/8 tsp cinnamon (pinch) – 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips – 1½ cup walnuts (chopped)

– Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

– Cream the butter with the brown sugar and white sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer until light and fluffy, approximately 3 minutes.
