This Applesauce Oatmeal bread recipe is a quick, easy and delicious. It's perfect as is or you can add nuts, raisins or other additions to your liking.

- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 large eggs room temperature
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup no sugar added applesauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
In the bowl of an electric stand mixer, combine sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Beat to combine.
In a separate bowl, combine flours, baking powder, and soda, spices, and salt. Whisk to combine.
With the mixer running, slowly add dry ingredients, oats, and applesauce.
Pour the mixture into the loaf pan, and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove the bread from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
Store in an airtight container.
