Salted Caramel Whiskey Cocktail Recipe

Salted Caramel Whiskey is a smooth, warm, and buttery cocktail, that makes the perfect after-dinner drink. Sip it hot or cold, and better yet, with a friend!

INGREDIENTS

– dark brown sugar – water – light karo syrup – vanilla extract – sea salt such as Fleur de Sel – Bourbon Whiskey Old Forester

STEP 1

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine brown sugar, Karo syrup, vanilla and 1 cup of water.

Bring to a boil and then turn to low and allow to reduce until slightly thickened. Stir in salt and allow to cool completely.

STEP 2

In order to see how sweet you like it, mix a 1:1 ratio simple syrup to bourbon. If you like it sweeter, combine 2 parts syrup to bourbon.

STEP 3

Top drink with a small amount of additional salt if desired. Serve warm or over ice.

STEP 4

Store covered at room temperature.
