This homemade dinner rolls recipe will be your most requested dish for  holidays, birthdays, home from college on break days, and more.

INGREDIENTS

– warm water – active dry yeast – sugar – milk – butter – salt – flour

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 175°F. Pour the water, yeast, and sugar into the bowl of a stand-up mixer. Let it stand for 5 minutes or until it starts to foam.

STEP 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk and  butter. Heat for approximately 1 minute to 115 degrees F. We use an instant thermometer to check the temperature. Mix well.

STEP 3

Add the milk/butter mixture to the yeast and mix until all are combined. Add salt and half the flour, and mix incorporating additional flour as you go.

STEP 4

Once all the flour is incorporated, keep mixing for 4 to 5 more minutes for kneading. Cover the bowl and rest for 5 minutes. Butter a 9×13 dish and set aside.

STEP 5

Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Roll them into balls and place them in the buttered dish.
