Blogging is all about the community of people that you meet and share with. Much like the community in which we live in. When you’re younger you depend on some of the people that you meet a long the way to answer questions and help you out. When I was just starting out there were so many people that opened up their hearts and took the time to help me out with my questions. I’m always grateful when I have the opportunity to “pay it forward”. In most cases, I end up on the receiving end because I’ve met a new friend and don’t miss recipes like this Easy To Make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies with Dried Fruit!

I love my oatmeal cookies, and I love my chocolate chip cookies, but putting them together in the same cookie ... I worry that I won't have an excuse to eat two (one of each)! But adding dried fruit makes them sound healthy, so maybe that's my excuse. After work, I go for a warm glass of buttered rum more commonly than I'll go for milk, but other than that, I'm right there with you!

Warm buttered rum? Is this a concoction that you put together? We love a great glass of rum or bourbon! I say life is short. Two cookies and a libation is the perfect way to end the day.

Who can turn down a cookie with so many yummy ingredients. I'm curious as to why use dried pecans when fresh to me seems so much better. The fruits definitely as I have dried a number of them and the concentrated sweetness really adds a lot to a recipe :)

I've not tried this one myself Judi but I don't quite know why you'd dry the nuts either. I love the addition of dried fruit though.
